The largest billiard tournament will take place from July 31 to August 16 at the famous Crucible Theater in Sheffield. The WST is in talks with the UK government about the possibility of safely welcoming visitors. Otherwise, the event will be played behind closed doors.
All fans with tickets have been contacted today with the opportunity to know if a small audience should consider them for a seat. It is an incomparable opportunity to be among the few fans present in the area for a great sporting event.
In this situation, any fan present must strictly follow the rules regarding social distance and sanitation, which will be detailed before the arrival of WST.
Ticket holders have the option of a full refund or transfer of their order at the Bayford 2021 World Championship at Crucible.
WST President Barry Heron said: “There are detailed discussions underway with relevant agencies and we are determined to explore each avenue. We understand that for many fans participating in the Betterfred World Championship it is a unique experience and a magical occasion for everyone in the arena.
“Of course, the top priority is the health of the fans and the safety of everyone involved in this event, so visitors will only be able to meet this priority. But we are working hard to make it possible.”
“If there are fans on the field, they will witness a unique sporting event. For the very lucky it will be a golden ticket. We will ask fans to let us know their preferred option as soon as possible.
“We have already had two successful billiard events in the past few weeks and are on our way back to the sport.”
Ticket holders must verify their inboxes and respond with their preferred option by Monday, July 13 at 12:00.
